We’re currently looking for an Occasional Babysitter in Broomfield, Colorado 80023

A lovely family in the Anthem Highlands neighborhood is seeking an occasional babysitter for their 5 year old and 8 year old girls to start Monday November 20th. Backup care is needed intermittently 1-3 times per month and can fall on any day between Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm when the children are home from school, or for occasional date nights on Fridays from 4pm-8pm. The 5 year old is adventurous, energetic, and social, and loves imaginative play and going outside. She sometimes struggles with emotional regulation and sensory overload when it comes to loud noises and getting dressed. The 8 year old is very curious and talented and enjoys arts & crafts, Legos, story telling, and video games.

Applicants do not need to be available for all of the listed requests and the family is open to someone who is only available for 4-6 hours between the hours of 8am-4pm. There are no guaranteed hours for this position and the family can typically provide at least a week’s notice, often times a month’s advance notice, however, there may be occasions when care is needed at the last minute for the following day. There are 2 friendly cats in the home; no pet care is needed. A great candidate will be engaging, have flexibility, and be reliable.

Upcoming days when care is needed:

• Friday December 22nd, 9am-3pm
• Thursday January 4th, 9am-3pm
• Friday January 5th, 9am-3pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Engaging with the children; arts & crafts, outside activities (weather permitting), taking to nearby parks (walkable), etc.
• Light meal prep/cooking for children
• Tidying up after self children
• Bedtime routines for evening shifts

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of paid professional childcare experience
• Must be UTD on CPR certification or willing to renew
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Experience with neurodiverse children is a plus
• Must be comfortable with friendly cats
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
• Must be UTD on COVID-19 boosters
